Fighter Wing invites you on a guided tour of the military air base. Come in behind the fence and experience life in a military workplace normally closed to the public for security reasons.

The tour takes place by bus with an air base staff member as your guide. The bus makes stops along the way, allowing you to get close to an F-16 fighter plane and learn about the high-tech machines. At the beginning of the tour, the bus takes you close to the air base’s runway, in the hope of catching the F-16s’ daily takeoff. The content of the tour varies depending on the operational tasks Fighter Wing has lined up that day.

Fighter Wing is home to the Danish F-16 force. The air base covers a total area of 856 hectares, which corresponds to more than 1,700 football pitches. There are 30 operational F-16 aircraft at the base, as well as a propeller-powered T-17 Saab Supporter (used for training and transportation purposes) and an SAR helicopter for search and rescue missions.
